VENUE Certification now available

Digidesign has created a new certification course designed for Live Sound Production – VENUE 220V. How do we know? We actually wrote the book. Authors Rob Campbell and Eric Kuehnl both wrote the VENUE certification course for Digidesign.

This 2-day course leads you through the VENUE system from setup/configuration, to mixing tips and tricks, through VENUE’s incredible automation/snapshot capabilities and finishing with Pro Tools integration for show recording. An optional three-day program adds on a day of basic Pro Tools operation and management for those future VENUE operators that may not know the essentials for successfully recording a show and Pro Tools session management on optimizations.

For information please see our VENUE page.

Tip of the Week

Rob’s tip of the week comes via Chris Neal of South Plains College in Levelland, Texas. Have you ever wondered how to navigate that pesky Missing Files dialog box when Pro Tools cannot find a file, you’ve moved your session to another drive,or sometimes for no reason at all? Well, Chris hipped me to a few key commands that may help you.

Missing Files.

Using a modifer and pressing a letter will do the following:

Command – S = Skip All
Command – M = Manually Relink
Command – A = Automatically Relink (default)
Command – R = Regenerate missing fades without searching
Command – D = Regenerate missing rendered files without searching.

Thanks Chris!
